Make yourself at home...

Take a seat first as we don't want to keep you standing while you dive deep into our actual goal here. It will be a quick(ish) glance, right to the point, we promise.

"Readrunner" is a Tübitak project bringing both readers and writers together. If you're familiar with those websites on which you can freely write and read in accordance with your interests, you already know what awaits you. "Pfft, what's the point of having something more in number?", you say? Well... That's where we differ. We do not expect you to be a native speaker to enjoy bits and pieces. When you start your reading journey here, you will have access to all the levels of CEFR, each of which involves short stories you can choose from and read at your own pace. As you excel in the languages English and German which we centered our website around, you will have the chance to enjoy the same piece at higher levels. Higher levels are almost always rich in vocabulary and literary complexity, so we made sure your-a2 self won't miss anything after they level up :)

Why levels?

"Readrunner" aims to support you in your learning journey. No matter what level you are on, you have a place here. Readers need their writers to keep driving! Click on "Need a Pen" and fuel them readers by creating an account. You will be our dear providers during the process. As a writer in either English or German, you have the chance to show off with whatever level your writing skill is on. Consider it a practice. If you are on or above C1 and are able to write knowing no limits, please do choose "C1 or C2" while uploading your masterpiece. Don't forget to identify the level of your story for your audience. The drivers all need their own type of fuel. We don't want them to be stranded in their learning journey. The best part about joining us is that you will have your customizable profile where you can edit your stories, make them visible to your audience, view your status and kudos by your readers. We are not a fan of mundane profiles, so you'll get lost in our color heaven! Feel free to tell your audience the lie "I am sorry English is not my first language" then feed them the best thing they can ever read.

But... What about those errors, mistakes, typos and all? What if you improve your language proficiency during the process?
Don't worry, you can always edit your work.

As the "Readrunner" team, we support AI in learning. When taken advantage of with awareness of its pros and cons, we believe it can be leveraged in any education setting; thus, you are free to get help from AI tools while building upon your story. Make sure you put your heart, effort and creativeness to it though! Let it assist you in the process, give you ideas, broaden your content and plot at times and yet not become the writer on its own. That should be you!

"I have no issues with reading authentic materials in English/German anyway."
Oh... Aren't you cool? We got you covered. Visit Story Station. Any story under that title is advanced. You can encounter all sorts of words of different levels varying from A1 to C2. If you seek an authentic experience, Story Station is the place you should head to.

We wish you a journey full of smiles and experience as you drive to your destination. Make sure to check your speedometer and the speed limit. Don't get a ticket :) Accelerate with care.

Now now...

Hit the road, it's a long way to the top!

Oh and... Drive safe.
